War Department, Pension Office, Aug. 10, 1833

Sir, In reply to your letter of the 1st I have inform you that Isaac Brock is not entitled to a pension because the service in which he was engaged does not come under the provision of the act of Congress of June 7 1832. He alleged that eh was a Press Master. No such office was ever recognized by law. He also declares that he procured a substitute; but the papers do not show that he was to long as six months in the service letters as a Military Officer or Soldier. I have the __ to be with great ___ Your __ & ___
