Know all men by these presents that we William Giles &
John Brock are held & firmly bound unto the Court of Kentucky in the
penal sum of £ 50 the payment of
which well & truly to be made we bind ourselves our being Exes & Admins
jointly & severally firmly by these presents seal & dated this 10th day
of August 1842. The condition of the above obligation is such that if
there shall be no legal Cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to
be solemnized between said William Giles his father having certified his
consent and Elizabeth Brock her father John Brock having
personally given his consent Then this obligation is to be void else to
remain in full force & virtue.
